How this estimate works
The extra payment is treated as non-pensionable and spread evenly for NI and student loans. A one-off payment can produce different deductions in its pay period; this is not a bonus-month payslip estimate.

More about this calculation
Compare a year with and without the extra pay
We calculate your salary alone, then your salary plus the extra earnings. The difference is the estimated additional annual take-home. Existing pension contributions stay fixed; the additional earnings are assumed not to be pensionable.
Why the payment month can look different
Income Tax can depend on year-to-date earnings and your tax code. NI and PAYE loan deductions are calculated for the pay period. This annual model spreads earnings evenly, so it should not be used to predict a one-off bonus payslip.
Check whether your pension includes extra earnings
If the payment is pensionable or sacrificed into a pension, the result changes. Ask payroll how the payment is treated, and use the pension comparison to explore regular pension contributions.
